Found a $14 hostel in Medellin that beats my $90 hotel in Bogota
Last month I booked a private room in a hostel for two nights in El Poblado and it had breakfast, a rooftop pool, and the wifi actually worked for video calls. My hotel in Bogota cost 6x more and had mold in the shower. Anyone else found hostels outshining budget hotels in South America?
The thing nobody talks about is that hostels in El Poblado are basically competing with each other so hard that prices stay low while hotels in Bogota know you're a captive audience in the business districts. Same country, totally different market. I stopped comparing them like they're the same kind of place.
