I always thought loyalty points were the best deal, but now I'm sure cash back is way smarter for cheap trips. | Budget Travel Hacks - Freelance Forum - The Community for Independent Professionals

Remember when cash back felt like free money for gas station snacks? I was so deep into airline points for years, trying to hit that next status level, but then I booked a flight to see my sister and the fees were more than the ticket. I booked a $200 hotel room last month and my plain 3% cash back card actually gave me real money back. Points would have been a hassle for something that small, cash is just simpler.
