I just found out you can book flights on Tuesday afternoons for way less

My cousin who works for an airline in Chicago said they drop prices then to fill seats. Anyone have a different day that works better?

My buddy in Atlanta swears by checking prices right after midnight on Wednesday, when their system updates. He says it's less about a specific day and more about catching those automated price refreshes before anyone else is looking. I've had some luck clearing my cookies or using a private browser too, because sometimes they hike prices if they see you searching the same route over and over. It feels like a weird game you have to play just to get a normal fare.

Yeah, the cookie thing is real. Sites track your searches and can bump up the price if they see you're interested. I always use incognito mode now for any travel search. It's annoying but it does seem to stop some of that fake urgency.
