Saved $200 on my Portland trip because the motel pool was closed for repairs
Booked a room at this little motel near SE Division for a weekend trip and found out two days before check in that their pool was closed for a pump repair. I called to complain and the manager knocked $50 off each night, which came out to $200 off total. Then I used that saved cash on food carts and a used book store instead. Honestly the pool would've just been a bonus anyway since I was out walking the whole time. Has anyone else gotten a surprise discount from a place that messed up before?
