Why does nobody talk about packing cubes for saving on baggage fees?
I finally tried packing cubes on a trip to Portland last month, and it changed how I pack for under $20. Before, I'd cram clothes loose into a carry-on and still end up checking a bag for $35 each way because it was too bulky. Now I roll shirts into those little cubes and fit 3 extra outfits in the same space. Has anyone else found a cheap trick like this that shrinks your luggage without buying new bags?

Honestly, I think people hype these things up way too much. Like, is squeezing your socks into a little bag really some kind of life hack or are we all just bored?

Wait, people actually squeeze their socks into special little bags? I thought that was just something people did for fun to feel productive. Lol next thing you know they'll be selling us bags for our baggies. Honestly rolling your clothes works just as good and you don't have to buy some overpriced ziploc. But hey, whatever helps people feel like they're winning at adulting I guess lmao.

Are packing cubes really saving you that much space though? I feel like people claim they're magic but you're just compressing clothes the same way with a roll or a rubber band.
