Had to choose between a new phone and an emergency fund
My phone screen cracked in Denver last month and I had $400 saved up for either a replacement or to pad my emergency savings. I picked the fund and fixed the screen with a $20 kit from Amazon instead. Anyone else skip the upgrade to keep their safety net solid?

Honestly, I'd rather risk a cracked screen than mess with a cheap fix that could mess up the phone's internal parts even more. Better to just pay full price for a pro repair and get some peace of mind.
