I finally found a grocery budgeting trick that doesn't feel like a chore

I used to just clip coupons and hope for the best, but last month I started doing a 'no buy' challenge on just snacks and it saved me $47. Has anyone else tried cutting one specific category instead of overhauling everything at once?

Hate to say it but focusing on one category just made me binge harder on the others.

My cousin tried the same thing with quitting sugar, ended up eating an entire pizza by himself at 2am lol. It's wild how our brains work against us like that.

Hear you on that. Our brains love finding loopholes, so cutting out one thing just gives us permission to go wild on something else. Seems like total restriction never works, it just shifts the problem around.
