My grocery receipts from January vs now are two different worlds and the culprit is one aisle
Ngl I pulled out my receipts from the first week of January and held them next to last week's and the gap was $140 for the same list. The change came from grabbing pre-cut fruit and bagged salad every trip, because I timed it and it added about 25 minutes of prep to skip them, which felt worth it at the store but not at the register. Once I sliced a whole pineapple at home for $2.50 instead of $6 for the tub, that aisle stopped looking so innocent. Has anyone else tracked one specific aisle like this and found the money just sitting there?
The same thing happened to me with the cheese aisle! I was buying the little pre-shredded bags for years and then started grating a block myself, which takes like 3 minutes and saves me $3 every single time. Block cheese also melts way better, so it's a win on both ends.
