My spreadsheet formula fix turned into a two hour project

I was trying to get my grocery budget to auto-calculate a 15% savings goal in Google Sheets. The formula looked right, but it kept showing zero. I had to dig through old forum posts and finally found out I was using the wrong cell reference type. Has anyone else had a simple budget fix blow up like that?

What cell reference got you?

Ngl, I once spent a solid 45 minutes trying to figure out why my VLOOKUP was coming back with nothing but errors. Turns out I was referencing cell "B2" when my actual data was in "B3". Just one little row off and suddenly my whole spreadsheet is gaslighting me. Honestly, computers have zero chill about that stuff. The worst part is having to stare at your own typo and feel personally attacked by a row of numbers.

Oh man, does that ever hit close to home. I once spent an entire evening trying to figure out why a simple sum formula wouldn't work, only to realize I had typed "SUMM" instead of "SUM". I felt like a genius after all that. Spreadsheets have a way of making you feel both smart and incredibly dumb in the same hour.

Been there with the typing errors... my personal hell was spending two days debugging a script because I kept writing "lenght" instead of "length". The computer just sat there judging me silently. It's crazy how a single wrong letter can bring everything to a halt. You finally spot it and the relief is huge, but also mixed with pure annoyance at yourself.
