Shoutout to the $3 notebook that killed my Target runs for good
For like two years I was doing that thing where I go to Target for paper towels and walk out $87 lighter. Every single time. Last March I started writing what I actually needed on the fridge notepad before I leave, and I mean writing it with a pen, not just thinking about it in my head. Last month I went in for dish soap and trash bags and walked out with dish soap and trash bags. $11 total. My wife thought I was sick.
The trick is stupid simple but the pen part matters. Typing it in my phone did nothing for me. Something about the paper sitting there on the fridge in my own bad handwriting makes the list feel real.
Anybody else got a trick this dumb that actually sticks? I feel like an idiot for not doing it sooner.
