Tracked every dollar for 3 months and found $140 leak in subscription services
I started a strict budget in January and kept missing my savings goal. It took me until April to realize I was paying for three streaming services I barely used. I sat down one Saturday morning and went through all my bank statements line by line. Turns out I had a $12 monthly fee for a cloud storage plan I forgot about too. Has anyone else found sneaky little charges eating up their budget like that?

Did you check if your phone carrier has any sneaky add-ons too? I found a $5 "data backup" fee I didn't sign up for that had been running for like two years.

Got an alert from my bank once about a suspicious $2.99 charge and turned out it was some random "identity protection" plan my phone company tacked on when I upgraded my plan. Still have no idea how they added it, customer service acted like I was crazy for not noticing it for eight months. Makes you wonder how many other tiny charges are just sitting there waiting to be spotted, right?

$140 a year in forgotten subscriptions is basically the price of admitting you have a shopping addiction to monthly fees. I swear half the stuff I signed up for was just me trying to be productive during a late night scroll session. That cloud storage one really gets me though, like what was I even planning to store in there, screenshots of my budget spreadsheets? At this point I think my bank account is just paying a tax on my temporary enthusiasm for stuff I never use.
