Vent: My budget app glitched and showed me $3,400 in my grocery fund, spent 4 days living like a king before I found out
Last Tuesday I opened my budgeting app before work and it said I had $3,400 left in my grocery category, when I knew it should've been around $180. I figured some refund finally landed and went wild, grabbed steaks twice, ordered out Thursday and Friday, even bought the good coffee. Saturday I sat down to log receipts and saw the real damage: the app had double counted a transfer and I was actually $60 overdrawn at the credit union, plus two card fees. Now I check the bank site directly before any splurge, no matter what the app says. Has anyone else had a budgeting app mess up a transfer and show a fake balance?

My buddy's app did the same thing and he bought a whole smoker, then found out he was broke.
