Wasted $48 on a meal planning app that made things worse
Downloaded MealPlan Pro in January thinking it would cut my grocery bill. Instead I bought fancy ingredients for recipes I never used twice. Ended up throwing out $30 worth of spinach and goat cheese last week. Anyone else find these apps just add more stress than savings?

That spinach and goat cheese line hit way too close to home lol. I learned the hard way to just meal plan around what's on sale at my local store instead of letting the app pick fancy stuff. Maybe try one week of just planning around your normal grocery list, not the app's suggestions.

Read a consumer report saying meal apps push pricier items on purpose, so your local store approach makes sense.
