Bought a new band saw blade that lasted less than a week on a beef quarter
I spent $85 on a 'premium' blade from a supplier at the state fair, and it went completely dull after breaking down just seven animals. It was a total waste of money and put me behind schedule. Has anyone found a brand that actually holds up to heavy bone work?

Oh man, that's brutal! My friend had the same thing happen with a fancy blade from a trade show. It just fell apart on some pork shoulders and he was so mad. He only buys from a known shop now, no more fairground deals.

Wait, did you get that blade from a guy named Mike at the Iowa State Fair? I heard from a buddy that same guy sells blades with like a cheap coating that looks good but wears out in a day or two. Honestly, that's a damn shame you got stuck with a dud, especially when you're already busy breaking down animals. I read a forum a few months back where a butcher swore by trying carbide tipped blades from a restaurant supply house instead of the fancy brands. Ngl, your supplier sounds like a total scammer, and it's not your fault you got burned. Tbh, I'd call the fair's vendor list and complain, maybe they can do something about it.

Switched to Lenox blades last year and they handle bone work for months. That supplier ripped you off.
