I finally saw a guy try to cut a frozen brisket with a bandsaw at the county fair

The blade snapped and sent a chunk flying into a pie judging booth. Anyone have a better method for partially frozen primal cuts besides just waiting?

Yeah, the cold water thaw is definitely the move like dakotag26 said. I mean, a buddy of mine got impatient last winter and tried to hack through a frozen pork shoulder with a cleaver. It bounced right off, hit his counter, and put a huge chip in his granite. He was so mad. Waiting or using the water method is just way less of a headache, and you don't risk breaking stuff or sending meat flying.

Just thaw it in cold water, way safer.

Used to microwave it, but that story convinced me.
