The great chicken escape at my shop in Springfield
Last Tuesday, a whole case of live birds got loose in the back room. One rooster flew straight onto the scale and wouldn't move, just kept crowing. My apprentice, Jake, was chasing another one around the sausage grinder. We finally got them all back after about twenty minutes of pure chaos. Has anyone else had livestock cause a scene right before opening?

Tbh, we just turned off the lights and waited for them to settle down. Grabbed them way easier once they calmed.

Yeah, turning off the lights is the move. My buddy had a bat in his attic last year and they were chasing it around with a broom for an hour, just making it freak out more. Finally they killed the lights, sat in the dark for twenty minutes listening to it flap around, and then it just hung there tired. He threw a towel over it and carried it right out the window.

Man, that sounds like a total mess. Good call by @jesse_lopez14 with the lights off, that's smart. Chickens are way more trouble than a loose bolt.
