Thought sharpening my own knives at home was a waste of time, then a guy on YouTube named Burrfection with a $30 stone proved me wrong
I always figured paying a pro was worth it since I slice a lot of pork shoulder at work and my blades kept getting tore up after a week or two. Watched a video from some guy in Kentucky using a 1000 grit stone and a cheap angle guide, tried it on my old Victorinox and it came back sharper than the $12 per knife service I used to use. Took me about 15 minutes per blade the first couple times but now I can do one in 5. Anyone else here sharpen their own or am I the only one late to this?
