Bought a $200 'pro' pocket hole jig that broke after two uses
Saw a video online saying this brand was the best for cabinet face frames. The plastic clamp snapped clean off while I was working on a maple piece. Anyone know a good metal one that can take some real force?

Yeah, plastic on a "pro" tool...

Ugh, tell me about it. I just wrap the handle in hockey tape, fixes the grip and stops the cracks.

I did the same thing with my old screwdriver, @iris483. Two wraps of that tape and it feels brand new.

Plastic handles on tools are the worst. They get slick with sweat and crack in the cold. Give me a solid piece of rubber or wood any day. My old hammer has a wood handle I can actually hold onto. That cheap plastic stuff is just a way to save a buck.
