Just learned that a single unlevel base cabinet can throw off an entire 10 foot run by a quarter inch by the time you hit the end.

I found this out the hard way last week when I was installing a kitchen in Arlington and had to shave 3 doors down because I didn't check my first box with a 4 foot level before screwing it down has anyone else had this mess up their whole day?

Takes ten seconds to check that first box with a level.

Quarter inch shave? That's a nice cuss word cushion right there.

@jana509 yeah that bubble level is one of those things you dont think about until you really need it. i had a job last summer where the whole slab was off by like a half inch over 8 feet and i caught it with the level before the pour. saved me from having to grind down a whole floor. @logan271 that quarter inch shave cushion is real, gives you room to fix stuff without it looking hacked together.
