Never realized how much dust my drum sander actually kicks out
Measured the dust collection on my drum sander last weekend after it clogged for the third time in a month. Ended up capturing 62% of the fines at best, even with a 2HP collector hooked up. Anyone running a cyclone setup and seeing better numbers?

My drum sander could probably fill a sandbox with what it misses. 62% sounds like a luxury to me, mine hovers around "good luck" most days. Cyclone or not, I'm pretty sure the fines end up in my coffee mug somehow.

You ever check the dust collector bag and wonder if it's secretly growing legs and walking off with your sawdust? At this point I'm convinced my shop vac is just a decorative piece that happens to make noise. The real magic trick is how the dust finds its way into places I didn't even know I owned.
