Showerthought: switched from pocket screws to dowels on a maple face frame job in Boise last month and the joints came out dead flat
Spent $60 on a dowel jig after fighting with pocket screw shifts for years, and I am never going back for face frames.

Which dowel jig did you go with for the $60? Curious if you used the same jig on the stiles and rails or if you clamped a spacer for the offset. Been meaning to try dowels on my next frame but the setup time scares me a bit.
