That's the kind of purchase that makes you stare at the ceiling at 3 AM. You just paid for a fancy screen to tell you what a piece of plastic and some numbers already did perfectly well. Hope it at least came with a free coffee maker for that price.

$300 for a digital thermometer, right? I've got one that connects to my phone and sends me a notification if my kid's fever spikes at night while I'm asleep in the other room. Wouldn't trade that peace of mind for a plastic stick and a squint, you know?

Actually, those digital ones are way more accurate.
