Watched my old table saw cut go from wobbly to perfect after 15 minutes of tuning

I've been using the same contractor saw for 8 years in my shop in Phoenix. Last week I finally sat down and followed a proper alignment guide, adjusted the trunnions and blade parallel to the miter slots. The difference in cut quality was night and day, no more burn marks on plywood edges. Anyone else put off tuning their saw way longer than they should have?

Honestly, how long did you let that wobble go before you fixed it? I'm asking because I put off tuning my own saw for almost two years, just dealing with rough cuts and burning like an idiot. It's funny how you get used to a problem slowly over time until one day you fix it and realize how bad it really was. Tbh, that first perfect cut after tuning is pure surgery, and it makes you wonder why you waited so long. Ngl, I bet your plywood edges are looking real clean now, congrats on finally getting it dialed in.

Buddy Mike let a bad bearing squeal for 7 months before fixing it.

Read somewhere that most guys let saw issues go 18 months on average before fixing. @dylan_ward is right though, that first clean cut after tuning feels like magic.
