Wrote off biscuits for joinery until my table saw guy in Billings showed me his setup
I always figured biscuits were a shortcut for guys who couldn't cut a real joint, so I stuck with dowels and mortise and tenon for 12 years. Then my saw guy in Billings walked me through his biscuit joiner setup on a face frame job and the thing held dead flat with no glue creep, which is more than I can say for my last oak dowel run. What made you finally give biscuits a fair shot, or are you still cutting them by hand?
