Coax connector got wet in Orlando and my meter read 12 dB off, so I stopped trusting pass/fail
I was rushing a job in Orlando and slapped a compression fitting on a line that had moisture in it. My meter said pass, so I moved on. Two days later the customer called about pixelation on half the channels. I cut the end off, saw green corrosion inside, and realized I had been trusting that pass reading for 2 years without ever checking the numbers on the screen. How many of you actually look at the dB readout or just wait for the beep?
