Had to climb through a wet attic in Phoenix after a homeowner swore the drop was 'super clean'
Turns out their idea of a clean drop meant old coaxial wrapped around an AC duct with mouse droppings everywhere, and now I bring my own fish tape and a headlamp to every job no matter what they say, has anyone else dealt with customers who lie about how bad their setup really is?

Oh come on, a little insulation dust never killed anyone and maybe you're just not tough enough for this line of work.

Has your buddy ever walked into a job where the homeowner swore up and down it was just a simple swap? I had a friend who does low voltage work, and he showed up to a house where the guy said the old cable was "just laying there, totally loose." Turns out it was stapled every six inches through a crawlspace full of fiberglass insulation that had settled into a fine dust. He spent three hours cutting and yanking, ended up with a rash from the insulation and a busted knuckle. Now he takes a picture of the opening before he even grabs his tools, just to have proof.
