Hit 150 terminations in one shift yesterday and surprised myself
I always thought I maxed out around 100 but a new coax crimper from Grainger made the difference. Anybody else ever track their numbers and realize they can push harder than they thought?

That "surprised myself" feeling usually means quality is going down, not efficiency up.

29 years in and I used to think the exact opposite, that surprising myself meant I was getting faster or hitting flow state... but reading this actually flipped a switch for me. The times I've caught myself being surprised by a finished project were usually because I rushed through the last edits or skipped a double-check. Now I'm wondering how much "good enough" I've been tricking myself into accepting.

Man, that's such a good point. I totally used to think that same way about surprising myself with the final result, like it was some kind of creative magic happening. But you're absolutely right, every time I've been 'surprised' by how something turned out, it's because I skipped the boring stuff.
