Just passed my 500th install and it hit me different
I hit the 500 mark yesterday on a job out in the Oakley neighborhood. That's a lot of wall plates. I realized I've only had 3 callbacks total in 4 years. Two were for bad splitters the customer bought themselves, one was a loose connector I rushed. It made me think about how many of us fly through jobs and don't track our own numbers. Anyone else keep a log of their install count or callbacks?

@milalewis is probably sitting on a pile of loose connectors too if we're being honest here. That feeling of driving back to a fix is basically a rite of passage.

Yeah totally get that, the loose connector thing gets me too because I had one my second year that was just pure carelessness on my part. I was trying to finish a job before a rainstorm hit and I didn't torque that F connector down good enough. Customer called me two days later saying their picture was cutting out, I went back and it took me literally 30 seconds to fix it. That feeling of driving back to a house knowing it's your own fault is the worst man. Now I double check every single connection before I leave and I even take a picture of the back of the plate with my phone just in case. I started logging my installs about three years ago after that happened and it really helps you see patterns in your work too.
