Mixing up feeds because the labeling was gone taught me a hard lesson
Back when I started, we didn't have digital maps for cable routes. I was on a job replacing old lines in an apartment complex. The previous installer had removed all the tags, so I had to trace everything manually. I ended up connecting the wrong unit, and the whole building lost signal for hours. Now, we use apps that show live updates and confirm connections before we seal things up. It was a messy day, but it showed me why proper checks matter. Sometimes I miss the simplicity, but not the headaches.

Ever traced the wrong line and just wanted to crawl into a conduit? I've definitely created my own little outages before.

Mixing up feeds, I read about that happening at a data center.
