Remember when we used to fish cables with just a glow rod and a prayer?

I had a job last Tuesday in an old building with no drop ceiling and realized how much easier those magnetic push rods make it compared to the old days of taping fish tapes together. Has anyone else gone back to an old building and felt glad for modern tools?

Used to roll my eyes at those magnetic rods (thought they were a gimmick), but after one day in a tight crawlspace I completely caved and bought one. They really do save your sanity.

Honestly I swear by those things now too. Used to dread bending over a hundred times to grab dropped screws and bits, now I just wave the rod around and it's done. Game changer for anyone who works on their own cars or does any kind of metal fab work.
