So I tried using a regular drill for a crawl space job versus my old right angle one
Honestly, I had this job under a house in Bakersfield last month where the space was maybe 18 inches high. My normal right angle drill was in my other truck, so I figured I'd just use my regular DeWalt and save a trip. Ngl, it was a nightmare. I spent like 20 minutes just trying to get the bit to bite on a joist while lying on my side, and I nearly stripped the screw head. Went back to my truck, got the right angle attachment, and finished the same run in under five minutes. The difference was crazy. The right angle tool let me put real pressure straight on without my wrist bending all weird. Has anyone else had a job where the wrong tool just totally wrecked your time?

Right tool for the job, every single time.

Ever read that old saying about the master blaming his tools? It's total nonsense... a good tool makes all the difference. Trying to force the wrong one just wastes your time and ruins your stuff.

Man, do I feel this. I was trying to drive some lag bolts into a header last week with my impact driver because my real impact wrench was at the shop. My arm was shaking trying to hold the stupid thing straight, and I kept camming out. Totally wrecked the bolt head. Like casey268 said, right tool for the job. Grabbed my neighbor's big gun and zipped them in like nothing. That wrong tool cost me an hour of fighting and a trip to the store for new hardware.
