Spent 4 hours tracing a line for a single outlet because the previous installer left zero slack in the wall

Zero slack in the wall" is the installer's signature move. It's pure spite, like they knew exactly what they were doing to the next person. You just know they pulled every wire tight and smiled. That's a full day shot over six inches of copper.

My buddy had to cut a hole in the drywall because some genius left zero slack on a light fixture. He was not happy.

Classic electrician move. Seen it a dozen times, they staple the wire right to the stud an inch from the box. It's a special kind of lazy that makes the next guy's life hell.

Ha, @rowanw91 nailed it - I've definitely been that guy who spends an hour cussing out a ghost installer over six inches of wire. My luck, it'd be my own work from three years ago that I forgot about.
