Stumbled on a neat trick for securing cables in attic spaces

I was up in a hot attic running lines for a new home theater. The insulation was loose and cables kept slipping. Then I remembered to use adhesive-backed clips stuck to the rafters. It holds everything in place without damaging the structure. I've used this on three jobs now and it makes a big difference. Why didn't I think of this sooner? It makes the install look pro and keeps things tidy.

My attic has the same loose insulation issue. Those adhesive clips on the rafters fixed it right up. Makes future changes a breeze compared to drilling.

I always drilled little hooks up there (seemed more permanent), but your adhesive clip idea actually sounds way cleaner for future changes.

Man, that's so true. I feel like we all get stuck on the "permanent" solution first, even when something simpler works better. Like using a ton of cords instead of just moving the router, lol.
