Swapped from bending coax by eye to using a $20 manual bender from Amazon last month
Used to get kinks and bad 90s all the time guessing the radius on RG6, but now I crank those bends out clean and fast with zero scrap, anyone else make the switch from freehand to a tool?

The "guessing the radius" part hits home man, its like when I stopped eyeballing how much to tighten a screw and just started using a torque wrench. Some things you just gotta let the tool tell you when its right.

Wait, are you actually using a torque wrench on screws? That seems like overkill for most stuff, but I get what you mean about the coax bender.

Is it really that serious for most home stuff?

The one time I tried to guess the radius on a coax cable, I ended up with a connection that looked like a sad spaghetti noodle. My wife still brings it up when we watch TV.
