That tip about labeling drop cables with colored tape backfired on me
A foreman from a job in Phoenix swore by color coding every drop with electrical tape, so I did that on a 12 unit apartment build last month. Turns out the sun baked the tape off by week two and I spent a whole day tracing lines with a toner. Anyone else tried a labeling hack that just made things worse?

Buddy of mine labeled every cat6 in a 30 rack with a label maker. Thermal labels turned to black mush in the heat. Toner said everything was port 7.
