Wednesday in Phoenix was a nightmare, then Thursday saved it

Hit 5 jobs in 105 degree heat, third attic run had me soaked through my shirt before noon. Then Thursday, first house had a clean drop ceiling and the customer gave me cold Gatorade. Has anyone else had a brutal day turn around that fast?

The part about small kindness flipping the switch is so true. My buddy had a day where the AC unit kept shorting out and he was about to call it quits, then the lady brought out a frozen water bottle wrapped in a towel. He still talks about that bottle more than the fix he did, it's wild how one simple thing can save your whole mood.

The third attic run had me soaked through my shirt before noon" that part hit home. But honestly the real wildcard is how much that cold Gatorade changed your whole mood. Like yeah the heat sucks but it's the small kindness that flips the switch. I've had days where I'm ready to quit and then one homeowner just lets me use their hose or gives me a water and I'm suddenly fine again. It's almost annoying how easy it is to win me over after I've been suffering. The heat makes everything worse but it also makes those tiny gestures feel huge. Bet you didn't even care about the drop ceiling as much as that drink.
