A guy brought in a Leica M3 from 1955 and asked if I could 'just clean the sensor'
He was completely serious, and it happened at my bench last Thursday. Has anyone else gotten a request that made you pause for a second?

Used to think people were just messing around when they said stuff like that. Then a customer asked me if we could put a USB port on their vintage manual typewriter so they could "save files." It hit me that for some folks, if it's a machine, it should just connect to a computer somehow. That old Leica story is the same kind of thing, just a total mix-up of how different tech works. Makes you realize how much basic knowledge gets lost over time lol.

My barista last week asked if our espresso machine could be upgraded to Bluetooth. It's that same tech amnesia, where the old physical thing just gets mapped onto the new digital world.
