A tiny spring from a point and shoot flew past my ear and I found it in the carpet 2 days later
Was cleaning a Canon Sure Shot last Tuesday and when I popped the top cover off, this little torsion spring launched itself somewhere across my living room. I gave up looking after 20 minutes and just ordered a parts body off eBay for $18. Two days later I felt something under my sock while walking to the kitchen, and there it was, sitting right next to the couch leg. Now I keep a magnet tray on my bench for every teardown. What is your go to trick for finding launched springs?

Lost a click spring for an hour once, found it stuck to my hoodie sleeve the whole time.
