Am I the only one who started bagging every screw after what happened at the Columbus camera show?
I was at the Columbus camera show in April working a CLA on a customer's Nikon F2 on a folding table when I bumped the tray and a shutter curtain screw went into the carpet. Took me 25 minutes crawling around with a flashlight while the guy watched, and I never did find it. Now every body that comes in gets its screws into a labeled zip bag the second they come out, even if the repair is just a light seal swap. The extra two minutes per camera is nothing compared to losing a screw that no longer exists. Anyone else got a trick for keeping tiny parts from vanishing on them?
