Claw tool for stuck shutter blades replaced my tweezer method after 20 years
I used to wrestle with delicate shutter blades using jeweler's tweezers and a lot of patience. Last week in my shop, I picked up a cheap claw-style pick with a 90 degree bend, and it finally freed a stuck leaf set in a Canon FD lens in under 10 minutes. The bend lets me apply pressure at the right angle without bending the blades or my own fingers. Has anyone else switched to a specialty tool that made an old job feel brand new?

Saw a guy on a repair forum swear by those dental picks for this exact thing. Said it changed how he worked on old rangefinders completely. Might grab one myself next time I'm near a hardware store.
