Dropped $80 on a JIS screwdriver set and it saved my Canon AE-1

Spent a whole morning stripping screws on an old AE-1 with a regular Phillips before I caved and bought the proper JIS set. The crosspoint fit is so much tighter, no cam-out at all. Has anyone else had a stubborn camera screw that just would not budge until you switched tools?

Wait, you spent eighty bucks on a screwdriver set? For real? I mean, I guess if it saved your camera it's worth it, but that's still a lot of cash for some screwdrivers.

Eighty bucks is a lot but if you've ever tried to use those cheap $10 kits on delicate electronics you know why people spend more. Stripping a screw on a camera lens mount is a nightmare, I've seen it happen. The precision tips on the good sets actually stay sharp and don't bend. Plus if it saves you a $300 repair bill or replacing a whole camera body it pays for itself quick. Worth it in the long run.

Yeah I saw a whole breakdown on this. Some guy tested a bunch of screwdrivers and the cheap ones literally bent on the first turn while the expensive ones lasted years. For something you use all the time it's not THAT crazy.
