Hit 500 repairs this month and it threw me off
I passed 500 shutter repairs in March for the first time and honestly didn't expect to feel anything. But seeing that number made me realize how many of those were the same few failures on older Canon bodies. Anyone else notice certain models coming in way more than others?

Hit 450 shutter repairs just last month and same thing, did not expect to care at all. But the 5D Mark III mirror box failures alone probably account for a solid 60 of those. The 6D shutter replacements are also way up there, feels like every other one is either a 6D or a 7D with the tired old shutter unit. Somehow the 5D Mark II bodies just keep chugging along, I barely see those for anything other than the occasional sensor cleaning. Makes you wonder what Canon was thinking with some of those later designs.

I mean, isn't that kinda backwards though? The newer bodies are hitting hard because people actually use them, not because they're worse. The 5D Mark II is just sitting in closets now, nobody's running 100k clicks through them anymore.
