Spent $180 on a proper lens spanner and it saved me from a scratched front element
Cheap adjustable wrenches kept slipping on that tight retaining ring and I was one slip away from gouging the glass, so I bought the real tool and it popped loose in five seconds. Worth every penny, or am I just bad at improvising?
