Hit 100 nights in my tent last year and didn't even realize until February
I was going through my camping logbook a few months ago, just jotting down notes from last season. Counted up all the nights I slept in my tent, from quick overnights to a 10 day trip in the Smokies. Turns out I hit exactly 101 nights in 2023, which honestly shocked me because I never thought I'd pass 50. Most of that came from a mix of weekend trips and a few longer stints during my vacation time. The surprise made me wonder if anyone else keeps track of their nights out, and if so what's your total for last year?

Oh man, I WISH I kept a log but I'd probably just depress myself with the low number. I swear half my "camping trips" are just me driving two hours, setting up a tent in the dark, sleeping for 6 hours, then packing up to go home again. So my total for last year is probably like 15 nights if I'm being generous.

@river_thompson 15 nights is still solid. That's like two weeks in the woods. Half the battle is just getting out there, even if it's a rushed trip.
Plus, those dark setup, quick sleep, early pack out trips still count. You got fresh air and a break from normal life. That's the point.
