I finally upgraded my old camp stove after a windy weekend in Wyoming

I kept using my basic single-burner for years, but a 15mph gust made boiling water take forever. Borrowed a friend's WindBurner and it was ready in under three minutes. Anyone have a good two-person stove that can handle wind without the high price tag?

That Wyoming wind is no joke lol. Had a similar thing happen trying to make coffee in a canyon once, felt like I was waiting half the morning. Honestly after that I just got a cheap little wind screen for my old stove, folds up tiny. It's not perfect but it cuts the time down a lot for like fifteen bucks.

Ever try a DIY wind screen? I made one from an old aluminum baking sheet, just bent it into a half circle. It's ugly but it works almost as well as the fancy stuff for free.

Did you have to drill any holes in it to let some air through, or is it just a solid wall of aluminum? I feel like a solid screen could choke the flame out as much as the wind does.
