My backpack took so long to arrive that I almost missed the season
I bought a new hiking backpack online back in early spring. The estimated delivery was three weeks, but it stretched to over two months. By the time it got here, most of my planned trips had passed. I used my old pack for a rainy weekend and it soaked through immediately. Now I'm wondering if gear reviews should mention shipping reliability more often. Any suggestions for brands that don't take forever to get to you?

Bought a rain jacket, it shipped in time for the drought.

My buddy in Seattle waited three months for his new kayak.

I always shrugged at shipping times until my REI Co-op tent showed up a week before a big trip. For years I just clicked buy and figured it would work out. Then a sleeping bag from some direct-to-consumer brand got lost for six weeks and I missed a fall camping window. Now I check the "ships in" note before anything else, lol. That little line has saved me so much hassle.

Learned my lesson like @loganpatel after my new stove showed up the day after my camping trip. My timing is somehow always that bad.
