My old camp stove finally gave up on me during a trip to the Red River Gorge

It was a basic two-burner Coleman I've had since high school, and the regulator valve just snapped clean off when I tried to light it. We were about to make dinner and had to cook everything over the fire instead, which took forever. I guess after fifteen years of use, some things just wear out. Has anyone found a good, simple replacement that won't break the bank?

Oh man, I just got a Camp Chef Everest and it's been perfect for me!

That's awesome to hear! Those stoves really do have a great balance of power and portability. The consistent flame control makes a huge difference when you're trying to simmer something delicate. It's one of those pieces of gear that just works without any fuss. Definitely a solid choice for pretty much any camping trip.

Ugh, my buddy's stove did that last year on a fishing trip! He ended up getting a super basic single burner off Amazon for like forty bucks and it's still going strong.

Have you looked at the Camp Chef Everest at all? I picked one up last year after my old two-burner started leaking and honestly it's been a tank for me, cooks way better than I expected for the price.
