Why does nobody talk about campsite picnic tables being the real gear test?
Spent last weekend at a walk-in site near Berea, Kentucky and the picnic table there was so warped my stove wouldn't sit flat. Had to shim it with a folded map just to get coffee going. Got me thinking about how much of my setup depends on a flat surface I never plan for. What do you all do when the table is junk, bring a small board or just cook on the ground?
