My captain asked why I never put in for the lieutenant test and I still don't have a good answer
We were drying hose after a kitchen fire on 9th St last Tuesday and he just asked it out of nowhere. I said I liked my shift and he goes, that's not a reason, that's a hiding spot. I've been on engine 4 for 6 years and everyone keeps telling me to test but nobody ever says what happens after you pass, so has anyone here moved up and actually been happy they did?
