Started booking a 15 min call before every estimate and my close rate went way up
I used to just drive out to look at jobs and give a number on the spot. Problem was I'd spend 45 minutes talking to people who were never going to hire me. So about 4 months ago I started asking for a quick 15 minute phone call first, just to hear what they actually need and if they have a budget in mind. Last month I did 11 of those calls and booked 7 jobs, which is way better than the maybe 2 or 3 I was getting before. The weird part is nobody has pushed back on the call at all. Does anyone else do a screen call before wasting a trip?
